Joe Davis had a studio on 42nd street for over a decade. Widely exhibited in New York he also provided illustrations for The New Yorker and many other national publications. Akemi had worked for Comme de Garçons in Tokyo before moving to New York to study at FIT. They met in the mid 90’s and relocated to Delray Beach. In 2006 they opened DelrayART with the idea of showing work that appealed to them that also reflected a sophisticated coastal sensibility. In addition to his own work they began showing the photography of Matthew Vought, Verne Varona and most recently Karen O’Neill. DelrayART does all its own art publishing and printing and can customize work for any space.
